Terms of use

These terms govern your access to and use of the Screenero website and the Screenero desktop application, operated by Screenero. By using them, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance

By accessing this website, creating an account or using the Screenero application, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

Screenero is a desktop application for macOS and Windows that records your screen, webcam and audio and lets you edit and export the result. This website presents the product and provides its downloads. Some features rely on optional online services (for example, AI captions) and may require an account.

Plans and subscriptions

Screenero offers a free plan and paid subscriptions (Pro and Max), billed per seat, monthly or annually. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and your plan remains active until the end of the period already paid. Monthly feature quotas (for example AI minutes) reset each month and unused amounts do not roll over.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an account or use the service. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not use it unlawfully, attempt to disrupt it, reverse engineer, decompile or circumvent the software except where the law allows, infringe anyone's rights, or use it to create or distribute illegal, infringing or harmful content.

Your content

You keep all rights to the recordings and videos you create with Screenero. You are solely responsible for what you record and for obtaining any consent required from people who appear or are heard in your recordings. We claim no ownership of your content.

Intellectual property

The Screenero application, website, name, logo and all related materials are owned by Screenero and protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the service; no other rights are granted.

Fees, renewal and refunds

Paid plans and their prices are described on the website and may change; changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid. Payment, invoicing and applicable taxes are handled by our payment provider, Stripe, whose terms are presented at checkout. Your first purchase comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee, less the value of any metered AI usage already consumed. Nothing in this section limits your mandatory statutory rights.

Third-party services

Some optional features send data to third-party providers in order to work — for example, AI captions transcribe your audio through a third-party service. Those providers process the data only to deliver the feature. See our Privacy policy for details.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any result will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Screenero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or misuse the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always available on this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Screenero is established. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that country, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you where you live.
